+ Dr. Jamila Johar is a ceramic artist and educator with over 30 years of experience in the arts. She holds a PhD and Master’s in Fine Arts (Interior Architecture & Design) from Alexandria University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from PAAET, Kuwait.

+ She has taught ceramics, pottery, and art education across Kuwait University, PAAET, and the Ministry of Education, where she also served as Head of the Art Education Department.
​
+ Dr. Jamila has trained with renowned international ceramicists including Eric Landon (Tortus, Denmark), Rhian Malin (UK), David Frith (UK), and Barbara Sabine (Germany).
​
+ Her ceramic works have been showcased in Kuwait and internationally, including exhibitions in Bahrain, Qatar, Germany, and the UK. She has also presented workshops at cultural events such as the Kuwait International Book Fair and the Arabian Horse Championship Festival.
​
+ Her pieces are featured in major institutions such as the Amiri Diwan, Bayan Palace, Kuwait National Museum, and Kuwait Oil Company.
​
+Dr. Jamila is a recipient of several prestigious awards, including the State Encouragement Award in Fine Arts – Ceramics (2015) and the First Prize at the 1st Kuwait Biennale for Ceramic Art (2001).
